The McLaren MP4-12 C Spider will go on sale next month with 616bhp.
Gets the same V8 engine 3.8-litre twin - turbo as the coupe, which originally was 591bhp, but it has recently boosted its power.
Based on the same carbon MonoCell chassis as the coupe, McLaren promises that nothing will be lost in its management.
But, according to McLaren: "removed the ceiling marks to experienced sensations, emotions felt and the noise that can be heard." We agree, a convertible with a top speed of around 186 mph, it is all a way to get their kicks.
There is no manual gearbox, but the seven-speed auto is moving fast and will allow the spider to ruin your hair from zero to 62 mph in three seconds.
It will be face to face with the Ferrari 458 Spider, that made its UK debut this weekend at the Goodwood moving Motor Show.
